As an initiative to bring business to Clinton Hill venue, Lox Lounge, Coyote Agency held residency every Wednesday night in the space from 2014-2015. Coyote's event, later to be titled TINGZ, provided space for grass roots artists to perform, collaborate, and find safe space where they could nurture their music. TINGZ fostered relationships between other local promoters and the Lox to help sustain business, in the evolving neighborhood. Gratefully, TINGZ and the Lox's partnership helped facilitate some of the first shows in NYC for recognized artists like Allan Kingdom and DUVV.
TINGZ was inspired by the deep rooted essence that comes from sounds of reggae and dancehall. Recognizing the footprint Caribbean culture has in our Brooklyn communities, Coyote Agency found it imperative to tribute and create space for those that identify with the sound, jubilance, and worry free attitude of the Caribbean. The idea behind TINGZ was that DJ's and performers would mash up reggae and dance hall with sounds of their choice. The show booked influential talent and served as a reason for many of our people, the organizers included, to continue shooting for their dreams.
Coyote Agency services for TINGZ included:
Live mixes to be recorded and placed on Soundcloud after the show.
